Nate is laying low and starving in Marin General Hospital. He had 35 or so stitches put in and took two trips to radiology (CT and X-rays). A quality night’s sleep is out of the question because he’s been told by the nursing staff that they will be checking on him every half hour. The ER doctor attending to Nate let him know that his CT scan showed very minor bleeds (hemorrhages) in two small intracranial blood vessels. In the wake of the Marin Catholic baseball pitcher incident, this medical staff is not taking any chances, as remote as they may be, so they decided to keep him overnight for monitoring as a precautionary measure. X-rays confirmed a broken nose, and it is believed the Doc said there was also a slight fracture along the rim of his right orbital bone (eye socket). Aside from his hunger, he is feeling absolutely fine, and insists that nobody worry about him – he plans on playing against Cliff next weekend – just kidding. As of 15 minutes ago, he’s put back 26 jello cups – probably over 30 by now.

He smiled through the whole thing

After a slow start pinning BC down 3-0, 10 minutes into the game, BC rallied to decisively win a well fought 12-10 match against the Marin LC in sunny Sausalito Saturday. Goals came in all flavors from all positions on the field, with the BC defense being rock solid. With the game ball going to Aaron "Milk" Fenton for stellar goal tending and last minute 1 v. 1 saves from the crease, BC finds themselves undefeated in the NCLA with a 5-0 record.
